The nine-piece Paradox Ensemble is led by Band Leader Nick Walters, who is also part of Riot Jazz Brass Band and one of the chief soloists in Manchester’s acclaimed Beats & Pieces Big Band. He unites his trumpeting and electronic skills to compose an ethereal blend of contemporary jazz and experimental.
Taking cue from a host of diverse influences, from Aphex Twin to Gil Evans, expect electronic grooves with deep, earthy harmonies, intertwining songlines and live samples.
